Acer and ESL Extend PC Partnership for Intel Extreme Masters
Acer and ESL announce a three-year partnership extension, covering all four annual Intel Extreme Masters events.
Acer and ESL have extended their current partnership, with the hardware manufacturer to support all four annual Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) events through 2021.
As exclusive PC partner, Acer will integrate its gaming brand, Predator, into all CS:GO tournaments during IEM seasons 14-16. This includes using Predator brand monitors on stage, stationing Acer laptops on the analyst desks, and exhibiting Acer products in the business-to-consumer (B2C) sections of these events.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Acer for the next three years and believe it’s an indication of the long-term commitment we’re seeing in the industry,” said Paul Brewer, senior vice president brand partnerships at ESL North America, in a statement. “Acer is a terrific example of a world-class brand which has made its mark in esports and has become an integral part of IEM events.”
Acer Predator was first announced as the official monitor provider for IEM in 2016, and has supported other events such as the ESL One Genting Dota2 Minor last year. Alongside Intel's long-running title sponsorship, ESL recently extended deals with several other partners of its multi-game tournament series. This includes online payment provider paysafecard, and online betting operator Betway.
